Tell Me More

Tell Me More

So often tweens and teens feel like their parents just don't understand them. They feel frustrated that it doesn't seem like we are listening. They don't feel heard. Sound familiar to you?

I've been hearing one phrase a lot lately that shows you are actively listening and that is: "Tell me more." This phrase can go a long way to show you are engaged and want to show you understand.

While we still might not get all of their struggles, letting them know that we are trying to understand will go a long way in improving our relationship with them.
